Alma Titanium × Seol In-ah campaign
Laser scene creative

We designed laser light around the storyboard's scenes and tone,
and operated the lasers directly on set.

From monochrome to color,
light marks the turning point

The storyboard shared in preproduction began in refined monochrome, then used lasers as the turning point into color. KNOVCOMPILE's laser artwork Helix was the visual reference for the laser treatment.

  1. 01

    Preproduction meetings

We review the storyboard and visual tone, identifying the scenes featuring lasers and their visual references.

    Laser scene creative

We design laser forms and movement for each scene: straight lines for intensity, waves for wavelengths.

Light from the storyboard,
made into laser scenes

We translated the storyboard's light into physical laser forms and movement. The lasers shape the atmosphere as part of the mise-en-scène, preserving the subject's presence.

From one beam to three

The campaign's “three wavelengths” begin with a single beam falling through darkness, then develop into three.

Straight lines and waves: two forms of light

Straight lines suggest intensity; waves visualize wavelengths. We realized the storyboard's two forms with lasers, tailored to each composition.

As light passes, color returns

As planned in the storyboard, a beam passes over the subject and the monochrome image shifts to color, marking the transition between the campaign's first and second halves.

The light drawn in the storyboard
became a physical laser scene before the camera.

On set,
laser operation

On set, we readjusted the prepared scenes for the camera. Testing variations of straight lines and waves, we found the right light for each shot and operated the lasers throughout filming.
