TUNEXX 〈BLUE MODE〉 performance video.
We created laser scenes in which lines and planes of light unfold around the movements of seven members.

When choreography in darkness
meets a structure of light.
〈BLUE MODE〉 is a performance video built around TUNEXX's choreography. Scenes in a tunnel set transition into blue lasers in a dark space. KNOVCOMPILE created the laser sequences, shaping light around the group formations and solo movements.
LASER SEQUENCE
Light rises in lines, opens into planes,
then gathers around a single performer.
Starting with vertical beams between the members and curves on the floor, light spreads behind their silhouettes to expand the space. The beam width then narrows to emphasize a solo before returning to a scene that surrounds the whole group.

Reviewing choreography and scenes
We studied the group formations and solo sequences using the shared choreography video and scene plan.

We simulated beam spacing, spread direction and the transition from lines to planes in a virtual space.

PREVISUALIZATION
Exploring before the shoot
the volume and movement of light.
Previsualization let us assess the space occupied by light in relation to the performers. Multiple light columns, fan-shaped beams from behind and planes surrounding the body were arranged as one sequence.
LIGHT × CHOREOGRAPHY
Seven performers,
one space of light.
In group scenes, columns of light define each member's position while circles and lines on the floor connect the formation. Varying the density and width of the blue beams gives the group and solo scenes distinct impressions.
