We transformed the first passage into the venue into a tunnel of light.
LED lines along the walls and ceiling change color and rhythm with the music. Beyond the tunnel, the venue opens up.

The first step into the venue,
framed by light

Webtoonist Day is NAVER WEBTOON's year-end event for its creators. The 2019 venue included a banquet hall and stage, catering and snack-bar lounges, an arcade and fortune-telling and tarot tents. KNOVCOMPILE built an LED light tunnel along the entrance corridor, inviting creators to pass through light as they entered the venue.

Along the walls and ceiling,
lines of light converge at one point

Long LED lines extend into the depth of the tunnel along its walls and ceiling. Viewed from the entrance, they converge at a point, making the passage appear deeper. Pixel content mapped to each line lets light flow, spread and change color along it.

    Review the spatial design

    We review the entrance passage, tunnel dimensions and graphics in the event's spatial design, then determine where the LED lines will sit.

With the music,
the tunnel's light changes

We composed original music and designed the tunnel lighting to follow it. White lines illuminate in sequence to create depth, while color spreads from blue into teal and green. Sound and moving light turn the entrance into a continuous scene.
