OHELEN · Don't I know
Ohelen 〈Don't I know〉 Live
Laser portrait · Laser lighting
A face drawn in laser light emerges from the darkness. Its eyes close and open, and a tear gathers at the corner of an eye.
As the song continues, the same light fans out behind the musicians and pours in from the side as a plane.
Before the song begins,
a face drawn in light opens its eyes
The song opens with lines rather than a person. KNOVCOMPILE drew twelve frames of a face using only eyebrows, eyes, a nose, lips and a jawline, then projected them into darkness with a laser projector. As the drawings change in sequence, the eyes close and open. In the final frame, a single tear gathers at the corner of an eye.

From lines to planes,
light expands with the song
The lines that drew the face expand into fans behind the musicians and planes of light from the side. As the beam planes become visible in the haze, the small space gains depth.
Light surrounds three musicians
The same lasers spread from behind, cut across from the side and rise vertically, shaping the musicians' silhouettes in each scene.
A single line in darkness
becomes an entire space by the song's end.
